Collaboration with ModefyWear

Bloom Bras is proud to collaborate with MODEFYwear.  Our shared mission is to empower through inclusive design.  The line was designed for women who dress in traditional garments (Muslim, observant Jewish, Mormon, Pentecostal and Indian women) and/or modestly for athletics. Founded by Melissa Scott, a 20 year veteran of the Olympic movement and has been deaf since birth.  While working for the Olympics and having to travel to places where a hijab is a cultural norm, Melissa had a hard time wearing one over her hearing aids as the fabric made her aids whistle and block the flow of sound. Thinking she couldn’t be the only deaf person in all the Middle East, Melissa set out to design a hijab for herself and to share with deaf hijab-wearing woman. At the same time, many hijabi athletes were interested in Melissa’s hijab design as it made long hours of training more comfortable with ear holes, interior pockets, and ear band for glasses and Airpods. From there, Melissa’s life long career trajectory in creating an equal playing field for ALL women came to a pivot point and MODEFYwear was born.  Bloom Bras was founded by Elyse Kaye who is of Jewish heritage.  Frustrated by the lack of options available for busty women, she created the line in her kitchen.

The two women met through a Female Founders group on Facebook.  We are so excited to see where the brands can go together.  Inclusivity is not just a buzz word.  There is a growing market for more products that reach the vast number of women who cannot find basic products for their everyday needs.  "We really respected the brand values, qualities and struggles.  There are so many of us who do not feel heard in fashion." says Elyse Kaye.
